The Art of Making Viking Whipcord (AKA Combat Kumihimo)

Baltic Folklore
Learn about the folk stories of the Baltic and Finno-Ugric peoples around the Baltic Sea region. We'll examine the differences in folk tales between the Baltic peoples and the Finno-Ugrics yet note the similar impact Christianity had on both groups.
Gavrick (MKA Gabriel Jones) has a BA from the University of Kentucky (UK) in history, political science, and Russian and East European Studies. He has a MA from UK in Secondary Education (Social Studies) and is all but thesis on his MA in Russian and East European Studies at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor).

This class will cover the origins and rules of medieval golf. It will also deal with the construction of the equipment needed to play the game, the basic layout of the course, and the rules of play.

"Russian" Battle Tactics
We'll briefly cover the basic arms, armour, defenses, and troop movements of Kievan Rus, Novgorod, and Muscovy. Lego knights will serve as visual aids to assist the colored drawings of troop movements.
